What We Do
Mzansi Communications Services provides affordable voice communications to South African residents, small businesses or visitors that make frequent international calls. Our high quality voice network can be accessed via cellular phones, landlines or voice over internet protocol (VOIP) handsets. Cellular and landline phones can use the Mzansi Communications Services network by way of the international calling card service, while the Residential/Small Business international calling service requires a VOIP handset or analogue telephone adapter (ATA).
International calling card service
Use your existing handset and SIM card to make high quality international voice calls at affordable rates. Make calls to international destinations from as little as R2.00 per minute and to any phone in South Africa for R1.50 per minute. Mzansi international calling cards are available in denominations of R20, R50, R100 and R200.
How to use the Mzansi international calling card
1. Dial the access number 010 500 4216 then hangup. The system will call you back.
2. Enter your 11 digit PIN followed by the # sign.
3. Enter the number you want to call in the international format, followed by the # sign e.g. 00 258 82 123 4567#
RESIDENTIAL/SMALL BUSINESS INTERNATIONAL CALLING SERVICE
The Residential/Small Business international calling service provides high quality international voice calls at affordable rates. This service is suitable for Residential/Small Business users who make a lot of international calls.
Technical requirements for Residential/Small Business international calling service
• Broadband connection to the Internet e.g. ADSL
• Analogue Telephone Adapter (ATA) for use with existing analogue handset or VOIP handset
Identity verification (RICA) requirements for new subscribers
• Legible copy of valid photo ID e.g. South African ID or foreign passport.
• Legible copy of proof of residence e.g. Telkom account, Municipal account or Store account, not older than three months
